Yesterday and today, my meditation has been about how to win the battle. Being an overcomer means taking victory over the evil that rises within me. Today, as we focus on breaking bondages, let we meditate on gaining victory over the evil that comes from outside.
Just as physical fitness is essential for a warrior, spiritual fitness is essential for our life. Only when we are spiritually strong we can win the battle against evil, whether it comes from within or from outside.
We must get ready for the fight.
This is not a physical battle, because the real enemy does not have a fleshly body. The enemy is not creative or innovative; he does not invent new plans. He uses the same old strategies again and again. In Ephesians 6:12 we can see the four main ways the enemy works:
- 1. Principalities - Works through authority, leadership that influence many people, country at once.
- 2. Powers - Brings control, bondage into our lives, fear that keeps us from walking in freedom.
- 3. Darkness of this age – Brings deception in daily life, lot of example are there today, - (eg making un-natural life as natural life). Forcing is already in place in workplace that to view and treat the un natural as normal.
- 4. Hosts of wickedness - Spiritual attacks meant to weaken our faith and discourage us.
God does not allow us to destroy the satan, at the same give power to destory his all schemes.
Attribute of Holy Spirit – gives liberty.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” - 2 Corinthians 3:17
Word of God to proclaim
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” – Galatians 5:1
Let us look at one more important point.
Bondages and curses can come through our own actions, through our family generations, or from outside influences. When we walk in the Spirit, we must recognize each bondage and break it in the name of Jesus Christ. It may be poverty, sickness, weakness, evil attacks, or anything else that tries to hold us back. As we walk in the Spirit, whenever we first become aware of such bondage, we should pray and break it immediately, right at that moment.
“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
Before we start to pray, let us ask God for great faith. We may wonder, “If I pray against the principalities, will it destroy the plans of national leaders?” Prayers will definitely break the evil principles that are affecting us, our families, and our fellowship. In 1 Kings 19:18, God says, “Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel…” God always has enough faithful servants. You and Me should get into God’s oneness plan with great faith.
Heavenly Father, today, I come before You, asking for victory over every evil that tries to rise within me and attack me from outside. I declare that You bore all my sins, bondages, and curses on the cross. By Your stripes, I healed, and set free. I declare that the enemy has no power over me, and every scheme of darkness is crushed in the name of Jesus. Amen.
