Renew – Day 21: I raised my hands

Today, we come to the final day of our journey of renewal. Over these past days, we have walked together, reflecting on God’s Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead. I have shared the thoughts and lessons He has placed on my heart, and I hope they have encouraged you to see His work in your own life. This journey has been about more than reading these write-ups, it has been about opening our hearts, letting God speak, and learning to live in His presence each day.

In a renewed life, daily problems may increase, and temptations may feel stronger, but these should no longer be our focus. Instead, our attention must stay on living a Jesus-centered life, guided by the Holy Spirit in everything we face.

Let us proclaim this verse in hard times and tough situations:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” — Hebrews 12:1–2

This verse clearly teaches us three things:

  • Problems and sins will always come.
  • Problems may slow us down, and sin may entangle us.
  • But problems should never make us stop, and sin cannot trap us when we keep our eyes on Jesus.

David prays like this from wilderness that

"My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me." - Psalm 63:8

In the same way, when we with whole hearted, we can ask Him to uphold us. As we lift our hearts in surrender and trust, God’s hand will guide, strengthen, and carry us through every challenge.

We began this journey saying, “I agree,” and now we end by saying, “I raised my hands.”

Rather than holding God’s hand, I lift my hands and let Him hold me. I know I won’t always have the strength to hold on.

“For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’” — Isaiah 41:13

Father God, I lift my hands to You in complete surrender. I trust You with my life, my heart, and my every step. Guide me, Lord, in all that I do. Uphold me when I feel weak, strengthen me when I am tempted, and carry me through every challenge I face. Help me to keep my eyes on Jesus, to walk in Your ways, and to bear fruit for Your kingdom. In Jesus name Amen.
