Today’s meditation requires no new beginning. Having already been sealed by the Holy Spirit, we continue to allow Him in every aspect of our life.
And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth—the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom He promised long ago.” Ephesians 1:13
This verse clearly says that when we believed in Christ, we were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
Paul says again:
“So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3
There is no doubt about in it, Whenever we say Jesus is our Lord and Savior, that is led by Holy Spirit.
However, at times, we may fail to yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading or fail to recognize His guidance. When we attempt to live by our own righteousness, apart from the Spirit, our spiritual life becomes dry and burdensome. True stability comes when our lives are led by the Holy Spirit.
Those who are led by the Spirit are identified as God’s children:
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” Romans 8:14
Jesus Himself spoke of the Holy Spirit, saying:
“But the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” John 14:26
Let us see the essential role of the Holy Spirit and how He works in us.
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. “ - Romans 8:26,27
The Holy Spirit:
- Helps us in our weakness.
- Prays for us.
- Intercedes on our behalf according to God’s will.
Therefore, let us commit our covenant life to be fully led by the Holy Spirit.
