Let us continue to stay in the Holy of Holies for a few more days and meditate on the treasures of the Most Holy place. Today, let us meditate on “the Jar of Manna.”
In the Holy Place, we reflected on the Showbread, which represents Jesus as the Bread of Life for our daily needs.
Similarly, the Manna also represents Jesus as the Bread of Life, but this bread gives eternal life.
We can see the connection in the same verse that applies to Showbread:
“…man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” – Deuteronomy 8:3
Showbread: Jesus Himself used this verse during His forty days of fasting, showing that the Word of God heals our physical hunger.
Manna: Accepting the Word of God (Jesus) gives eternal life. We must always remember, even in our earthly life, that eternal life is reserved for us, just as the Manna was kept as a memorial to remind the Israelites that their food comes from heaven.
Let us pray that Jesus grants us health, protection from sickness and curse, and thank God that our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life:
“…but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” – Revelation 21:27
